Whats Up
What God does through you
NOT the best you can do for God
Prayer is not just communication but relationship
From Abraham (Gen20.17) to Moses (Num11.2), from Moses to Jesus and from Jesus to the Church of Acts all prayed, some unceasingly. Right through to our present day there have been prayers of all kinds offered for the sake of the world and the church alike.
It is a command (Col 1.9) not an optional extra. We acknowledge prayer and its power and as a body we commit to PRAY (1 Tim 2.8).
We believe that prayer should begin in the home and overflow into our larger groups. We encourage the whole body to prayer and not just a chosen few.
We rely on the Spirits’ direction and petition accordingly. Our belief is that the power of prayer is by FAITH effective. It is not how much or how intense or how long but simply by FAITH. Praying for the sick (Jam 5.14) ,praying for one another (Heb 13.18), praying for the suffering (Jam 5.13), praying for leaders (2 Th 3.1), prayer for Gods mercy (2 Th 1.11), praying for knowledge (Col 1.9), Praying for the [perfecting of the saints ( 2 Cor 13.9), praying that evil not prevail (2 Co 13.7), praying in tongues (1 Co 14.14), praying unceasingly (1 Th 5.17) .... and so on.
Prayer is for ALL of us and when we pray together we activate the intimacies of our Father; change the atmosphere and conditions we find ourselves in.
